great waitstaff ...very friendly, tasty food. only con is that the section with the best views of the grounds was closed off.
We ate here last week. We had champagne,cheese plate, filet mignon with excellent Mac and cheese and the fresh ice cream and pumpkin for dessert. The waiter was great. It was quiet and mostly couples. We had a nice seat by window and had a good tie. It took us almost three hours though so this isn't a quick dinner.

Our first time dining at On THe Potomac, and had a great experience. Had the grouper and rib eye and recommend both. The service was excellent. A little pricey on some of the entrees.

Prices where reasonable, drinks were very good, get the Blueberry Mojito, very tasty. food was good too, wine list was extensive
I couldn't see the river but I did have a good choice of buffet lunch, which was not too dried up considering that I was eating shortly before 2pm, when they were starting to close up. Good salad bar, attentive staff.
