“Overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

overpriced bowling. You pay for the "atmosphere" but I like the run down bowling alley feel. That's part of the fun. I don't need couches. Plus, there are very few lanes, so there can be a pretty long wait. I'd rather go to another older, traditional, bowling alley and not have to wait. Plus it'd be WAY less expensive.

“Upscale Bowling --- Bring your wallet!!!!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

King Pinz is an upscale bowling alley featuring a cigar/VIP bar, a game room and restaurant. It is different from most bowling alleys. Dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids (only 2 glasses of wine for the adults) including tip and two hours of bowling on Saturday night came to $210. This is not cheap!

There are large HD megascreens over the lanes for sports and program viewing. They also play loud music and turn the lights down and add club like atmosphere in the evening. Instead of plastic chairs typical to most bowling alleys they have a large couch. Bowlers receive restaurant-style dining and bar service. Including towers of beer for $20 (domestic). Open bowling is offered throughout the day, so you're free to come anytime without worrying about league play monopolizing the lanes. There are many ways to enjoy bowling at King Pinz: call-ahead or walk-in to join our waitlist up to one hour in advance to bowl by the game, reserve a lane to bowl by the hour, participate in a bowling party or other event or join a bowling league. All the lanes have optional gutter bumpers which go up and down automatically for individuals requiring bumpers. Up to six people can bowl on each bowling lane. Regular pricing is an hourly lane rental rate (including bowling for up to six people per lane) or individual per game rate. Shoe rentals additional.

Walk-in per game bowlers are welcome, however, lane reservations always take priority. Per game bowlers may encounter long waits during peak times. At peak times they reserve the right to limit per game bowlers to one game and/or one hour maximum as needed to accommodate our guests with hourly lane reservations.

King Pinz advertises they have the best gameroom with all the latest arcade favorites including Wheel of Fortune, Spin 'N Win, Guitar Hero, Stacker, Big Bass Wheel, Deal or No Deal, Terminator Salvation, Golden Tee. There is also skill games including football, basketball, Ice ball, Rollerball, Dragon Puncher, pinball, air hockey.

The Sports Grill Restaurant & Lounge is advertised as an "upscale casual American cuisine straight from our kitchen along with all your favorite beverages from our full-service ABC licensed bar. Inside dining room, bar and lounge and outdoor patio.

The High Rollers Lounge and Cigarbar is a luxury setting offering a selection of fine cigars and accessories along with premium liquors, craft beers and cocktails. 21+ only! Separate entrance, ventilation and air filtration for indoor smoking of cigars and cigarettes.

If you are looking for serious bowling experience this is not it! The approach area of the lane is rather short so no place no stand while wiating for your ball. You are in the line of sight of other bowlers. The alleys appearto need a bit of maintenance -- several times the light balls got stuck in the gutter behind the pins and we reset with only 9 planes (wasting valuable time and money). Lanes are very dry!

The restaurant was pretty good american fare --- nothing overly special. If you rent by the hour on Saturday night it is $48 a hour per lane. With the mechanical issues and the slow bowlers next us to we barely got 3 games in (for a party of 4) for our two hour rental.

Nice change but not for a regular bowling experience.
