“Ball's Bluff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Very nice little battle field. Nice "cannons". Easy to get to and a very nice walk. We did this battle field on a day it was 90 and most of the walk is in the shade. An interesting perspective of this battle when you walk down to the river and see what the Union army had to do. If you are in the area and have time it is a very enjoyable place.

“Hidden Treasure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

What a hidden treasure. Nestled in the midst of a housing development this park offers a small history lesson and lots of hiking trails. The trails are rustic and in some places rough going, but a wonderful place to visit and the scenery by the river is awesome!

“if you love civil war history then this place is a good one”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014 via mobile

A very well hidden battlefield but once you get thereby will be blown away. The park service is slowly restoring the area back to 1861 conditions but the living tour on the weekends is a good draw. The reenactors are very knowledgeable and seem to really enjoy sharing information. A very nice afternoon trip.

“Great Walk thru Cival War History”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

This small regional park in Leesburg is the site of a Cival War scirmish. The park is excellently maintained and has several miles of hiking trails suitable for all ages including a walk along the Potomac and a couple of small cascading tributaries. The main battlefield has signs throughout describing the battle in detail. It is very infomative. It also has several cannons- big with the kids- and a cemetary. This is a great learn as you hike park.
