Owner description: He Vineyards & Winery at Lost Creek is a 50-acre boutique winery nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Virginia 10 minutes outside of historic Leesburg, Virginia. Tucked away between Route 15 and the Potomac River, Lost Creek Winery is a scenic destination that offers high-quality Virginia wines in a casual elegant atmosphere. Lost Creek's owners, Todd and Aimee Henkle, and consulting winemaker, Sebastien Marquet, are striving to show how great Virginia wines can be. A visit to our winery begins with a drive through our lower vineyard, past rows of thriving Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot vines. The winery building consists of our 1,500 square foot tasting room, a private adult-only club member lounge, a tasting pavilion (open in warm weather and for special events), a lawn to enjoy picnicking, and a wisteria-covered arbor encircling our front patio fountain. Inside our tasting room features a cozy fireplace and several tasting bars. Our knowledgeable wine educators will guide you in tasting Lost Creek's featured wines or they can suggest a bottle or glass if you prefer to relax at a fireside table or under the shade on our patio. We offer live music every weekend as well as several fun and educational food and wine events throughout the year.

“Wine tasting at a winery with great wines and ambiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

We visited for a wine tasting last weekend. We understand the winery is under new ownership. We loved the wines. The wine from the prior owners is too sweet for my taste but would make a good sangria The people were very knowledgeable about the wines and down to earth. Not as pretentious as other local wineries. The vine covered patio and outdoor fire pit were inviting. We're going to bring our lunch and sit outside with a bottle of wine! There are lots of picnic tables as well. Very nice setting. We plan to come back often.

“Pleasantly surprised!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

We went to a wedding at the Lost Creek vineyards and had a fabulous time. The setting for the ceremony was really nice. The outdoor patio is a perfect addition for the cocktail hour. Wines were very nice - better than expected. Staff was terrific and food was really, really good. The room and outdoor patio provided more than enough space for everyone to dine and party. Thoroughly enjoyed the wedding and give the venue 5 stars.

We had a fabulous time at the Crab Feast (also chicken, corn, cole slaw, etc) last Saturday evening 5-9 PM. The new Reserve Chardonnay was wonderful!

“Great place, good wines”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

Had a great afternoon at Lost Creek. It was $10 to taste, seems to be the standard going rate. The winery has fairly new owners. They have some wine left over from the new owners and some from the new owners. The person doing our tasting was knowledgeable about the wines he was pouring and very personable. I thought the wine was very good from both owners. Based on my tasting of the new owners wine, I'm looking forward to when they are all theirs. The winery had live music and there were a lot of people enjoying themselves. I don't live in VA but we have relatives there. Can't wait to go back and visit them and stop by Lost Creek!
