We stayed at the Comfort Suites in early August. Overall our experience was fine - the price was good for the room and location. However, there were several "housekeeping" issues that affected our experience. First, the hotel elevator (there was only one) was very slow, and with the size of the hotel, not adequate for the number of guests. Apparently the elevator felt the same way, because the morning we checked out, it was not working at all, leaving us to lug a family of 4's worth of luggage down 4 flights of stairs. While the front desk staff did offer to have someone carry luggage for us, there was way too many people checking out on Sunday morning for us to wait that long.
In addition, one of the perks of this hotel is the free breakfast. But after walking down to the lobby, we found the food to be sparse and the seating almost non-existent. The area was so crowded, and the selection so limited, that we turned around and went back upstairs.I would say that this is one area that the hotel needs to work on in particular. The hotel was sold out the weekend we stayed, and there was no way that tiny area could accomodate the number of guests in that hotel.
The staff was very friendly, and sympathetic to our concerns (including our extremely hot room when we checked in at 4:00) and overall the rooms were fine. With so many options in this area, though, I would be inclined to try somehwere else the next time we are in town.
