We went with high hopes. How can you mess up chips and salsa? Stale/hard chips, watery salsa. Combo platter was fair at best. Shared with companion, and was his assessment as well. He had chicken as part of his meal, and that was good. We skipped the planned fried ice cream as we were so unimpressed. Huge disappointment.

After eating there many times, I can say everything is delicious! Prices are excellent and the portions are generous. One good clue: Many of the customers are Latino.
My family loves La Chocita Grill. The food is fantastic--Peruvian chicken and other specialties, plus things we'd think of as more Mexican, like tacos. The servers remembered us even though it had been several months since our last visit. They are always very friendly and love talking with my toddler. One waitress was even teaching her to count in Spanish. The restaurant is small and has a bit of outdoor seating in the back. The food is moderately priced, and you get lots of it, so it's a great value.
