“Great Location & Charming B&B in Beautiful Leesburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

My husband had a conference at Lansdowne, so I tagged along for the first 3 days of our combo business/pleasure vacation. Norris House Inn was perfect. For 3 days, I was within walking distance to the Spa, amazing boutiques and antique stores, and fine restaurants. Wine Kitchen was hands down, the best of them all! When hubby was done with the conference, we discovered Virginia Wine Country. Loudoun County is beautiful in the Fall!

The B&B was tastefully decorated and we had the Norris Room for the duration of our stay. Not exactly quiet, as the Norris Room faces a busy street, but the room was spacious, with a small sofa, and we had a private bathroom. Unfortunately, the "chef" was away due to an emergency in England, so we didn't get any of the fabulous breakfasts for our stay, but that is okay. Roger's great recommendations for restaurants and shopping made up for it. One day, the weather was so nice, I bought some prosecco and had my own happy hour in the beautifully landscaped backyard. We loved Leesburg and loved Norris House Inn, and most definitely would stay there again.

Room Tip: Don't choose the "Norris Room" if you are a light sleeper. Noise from the traffic (th...

“Wonderful Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

We recently stayed at the Norris House and we had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and the innkeepers are just delightful. Roger took the time to make us feel at home and gave us some great tips on where to eat and shop. The breakfast the next morning was excellent! I believe that Leesburg, VA and the Norris house will become one of our new getaway locations.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Hannah room. It is a very cute room, but I wouldn't recommend it for people ov...

“Better than Advertised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Well appointed and beautifully maintained, this centrally-located B and B doesn't fail to deliver. The gracious innkeepers, Roger and Carol, supply everything you need to feel well taken care of - lovely rooms with great attention to detail, delicious gourmet breakfasts, public refrigerator stocked with drinks, immaculate cleanliness throughout. Ask Roger for restaurant recommendations, and don't miss The Wine Kitchen which is a quick stroll away.

Room Tip: The 3rd floor "Hannah" is a charming blue and white treetop respite - two twin beds which...

“Norris House / Among the Best B&Bs We've Ever Stayed At!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Roger and Carol run, without a doubt, a superb B&B. Our room, the Norris Room, was large and comfortable. During one of the hottest spells in Leesburg history...106 degrees on July 7, 2012---the window air conditioner operated quietly and kept the room cool. Carol's breakfasts were imaginative and delicious and Roger served them with good humor and fine conversation. For anyone considering a stay in Leesburg, the Norris house should be a must, located in the middle of the downtown, convenient to dining and shopping. If you don't have to go to Leesburg for any other reason, do it to experience and enjoy this fine hostelry and its delightful hosts. Then explore the downtown. You'll fall in love with this gracious old burg. Avoid the visual toxicity of the once lovely countryside, quickly being destroyed by avaricious developers polluting it with grotesque housing and shopping centers.

Room Tip: Our room, the Norris Room, was on the second floor overlooking the street and we were not troubled a...

“Great! Saved our Life - and, There was Jazz.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

We were riding the C&O Canal trail to Washington, D.C., on bike. We had reservations at the "other" place in town frequently recommended on bike sites because of price. Then, we realized the ride into Leesburg is not bike safe - ignore the bike sites that tell you it's a quick pedal into town - it starts with a ferry crossing, and then a steep 11/2 lane road with Washington commuters, followed by a 50+mph highway. Roger (with advance coordination and before rush hour) will meet and pick up trail riders; definitely worth the couple extra bucks. The Norris Inn is outstanding. I'm not a B&B guy and especially when you are in close quarters or share bathrooms. Roger and Carol live in a house behind the Inn within walking distance. They have a "bike corale" to store and wash bikes, a garden, food was amazing (got recipe), room was clean and impeccably decorated. They gave us the key to the place and directed us to a great restaurant and a pub with a real jazz band on Wednesdays. I think my next trip to see family in Norfolk may need to be a two-day trip to purposefully stay at Norris House again. Civil war diaries were a plus as well.

Room Tip: Slight road noise and traffic.
