“Excellent meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

We had an excellent meal at the Hope and Glory, which is fixed price for two courses. We had pear salad and a snapper entree (the only choices) Also a very nice Coastal Vines Chardonnay for $28. The dessert was also quite nice.

“Great thanksgiving feast, perfect breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Refined comfort food - just what is needed for thanksgiving. Breakfast featured a delicious mini cranberry muffin (s) in addition to fruit and egg and spinach souffle, crispy bacon. Set us up perfectly for a days sailing :)

“Don't waste your money eating anywhere else but here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

We ate outside the inn our first night in Irvington and wished we'd spent the extra dollars to eat both meals in the dining hall. The food, staff, and ambience was amazing. Everything was to-die-for delicious.

“Cozy dining in a charming inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

My wife and I ate here when we were staying at the Hope and Glory. The baked oysters were great, along with the jumbo lump crab cakes, all freshly made, which left me wanting a little more at the end of the meal. My wife does not eat oysters and the chef was very willing to accommodate her and made very tasty scallops. The price is prix fixe, so make sure you check what is on the menu and also check when the kitchen is open (not every night of the week - we had dinner on Thursday night). Overall, a very intimate (albeit pricey) dining experience that was made even better by the folks we had dinner with (also staying at the inn - 1 couple and a single), all in a lovely, cozy inn that was a former school house. Definitely a unique experience, with interaction from the chef, who came out after the meal to talk to us, which made it even more special.

“A delicious and fresh meal.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

Ann is a great chef. Fresh flavors, not over killed with sauces. Local ingredients were used. The baked oysters were outstanding. The crab cakes were more like lump crab meat instead of a cake. I preferred this. Charming intimate dining room.
