Stayed beginning of July for one week, three girls, late twenties, B&B basis.
Hotel is one of the nicest I have stayed in in terms of European resort holidays.
Never an issue with getting three sun loungers together even at 2pm. Great pool, lovely size. Not many children therefore not noisy which was great!
Food in pool bar lovely for lunch and reasonably priced, staff very friendly.
Cocktails in Piano Bar were amazing.
Breakfast was lovely, lots to choose from, never uncomfortably busy and generally went down 40 minutes before breakfast ended which generally tends to be the busiest time. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great carrot cake one morning!
We booked a triple room, third bed was a very rickety low camp bed. Was advised on check in this could not be changed. Went down early next morning to advise this was no acceptable for an adult paying full price and a new bed was put into the room that day – still not a proper hotel bed, made a lot of noise but fine to sleep on.
Our room was at side of hotel, ground floor, facing a little garden. Great room as it was really quite and there was a shortcut from the pool up to the corridor it was on.
Majority of desk staff were very helpful, more so day staff rather than evening staff. As is the common theme in the below reviews, the last shuttle into town went too early in the evening 6.40pm. However if you contact reception 30 minutes before this they may have a later one on due to demand e.g. 7.30pm. They do not tell you about this in advance so better to query it at the desk.
Taxis to town cost €7 approx. however we had to wait 30-40 minutes some evenings for them to arrive. Hotel have no control over this therefore no point saying anything to desk staff.
There are no ironing facilities in the room which came as a surprise, could pay per item to get pressed but would work out very expensive.
Very clean hotel, rooms serviced daily including floor mop - couldn't fault this.
There is beach (cove) about 10/15 minute walk from the hotel which has a little restaurant beside it – tide came in quickly in the mornings therefore would recommend to set up camp close to the entrance of the cove.
Two restaurants and one bar in walking distance of hotel, went to one restaurant and the bar, personally would not recommend them.
Main downfall was location, would be perfect if it was walking distance to the old town.
