“A magically unforgettable experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

We cannot say enough about the wonderful place that Glen Gordon Manor is. It was a perfect weekend from start to finish and the most amazing place for a romantic getaway. The hospitality, impeccable cuisine, and casual elegance made it one of the best - maybe THE best - experiences we've had. We've been to quite a few inns and bed and breakfasts, and this has everything we love and nothing we don't. The accomodations are cozy and clean with plenty of open and shared spaces throughout the house, though it's still very private. The surroundings are so beautiful it's hard to put into words, and the food was by far some of the best we've tasted anywhere.

Room Tip: The two rooms in the house are great because you feel as if you ahve your run of the entire house, b...

“An outstanding country inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

As veterans of Virginia B&B's, we've experienced the best (and unfortunately the worst) offered around the state. I can say that the Glen Gordon Manor was one of the best experiences we've ever had at a country inn/B&B.

The manor itself is warm and cozy, and you feel pampered the minute you walk in the front door. Trent provided a quick but helpful tour, then immediately filled our wine glass. As we booked last minute, we were not able to have dinner, but Dayn did allow us to watch dinner being prepared in the kitchen, and let us try some gourmet spanish ham that was to die for (while filling our wine glasses again, of course).

We stayed in the Briargate room, which was nicely decorated and very comfortable for two. Breakfast the next morning was delightful (the coffee was especially yummy), a true feast for the foodie.

Dayn, Nancy and Trent were wonderful hosts and their obvious love for what they do comes through in almost every facet of your stay. Glen Gordon Manor is just a wonderful place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

“Home away from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Wonderful place. We were in the area for a wedding and found this beautiful inn. We enjoyed meeting Dayn and his wife Nancy and nephew Trent. Solicitous but not too much. Truly the best breakfast (really a feast) that we have ever had. Fit for foodies as they say and it was breakfast. We will be back as were not able to enjoy dinner and we need to try that. Highly recommend a visit.

“Truly a five star experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

I wasn't sure I could believe the consistent 5 out of 5 ratings Glen Gordon Manor was getting in TripAdvisor, but my family of four stayed there for two nights and had one of the best experiences I've had in all my travels. I've stayed at the Inn at Little Washington (5 star / 5 diamond) just down the road and eaten at that restaurant several times and I given the choice between these two places (even if the prices were the same - and they're not!) I would stay at the Manor. The food and lodging are equal and the service is more friendly and more personal at Glen Gordon Manor. The beautifully restored historic property at the Manor is far more enjoyable with horses, flock of chickens, rolling fields and a gorgeous view.

You couldn't ask for a more family friendly service. Plan on a five star breakfast. I highly recommend the dinner option - you won't be disappointed. I plan to return again and again.

Room Tip: I stayed in the Wakefield Suite, a two bedroom/two bathroom suite in a cottage separate from the mai...

“Beyond high expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

It would be difficult to find enough superlatives to describe our two-night stay at Glen Gordon. The setting, with spectacular mountain views in every direction, responded in typical October splendor - color everywhere.. The website hints at five-star quality, but it's all in the taste ... And it is fantastic. We had two multi- course dinners and breakfasts, each more delicious than the one before. Dayn and Nancy treat their guests as esteemed honored guests. Their gracious touch is everywhere and nephew Trent is the talented chef in the kitchen. We'll return soon!
