“We really liked it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

Tried to get a reservation through the Homestead for this tavern at least a week prior to our arrival for out 3 night stay. No go, was told they were completely booked. Was apparently put on a "waiting list" but never heard from the hotel about the status of that. So, we took matters into our own hands and just showed up for a table on our last evening at the hotel and we were seated immediately!

Out server was lovely, so nice...and our food REALLY tasty. I loved my blue cheese stuffed meatloaf, my husband really enjoyed his chicken pot pie, my son's cheeseburger was juicy and large, my daughter's chicken fingers crispy and hot. Not inexpensive, but not outrageous, either. We'd definitely return.

“Not customer oriented”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014 via mobile

We got seated upstairs which is not as nice as downstairs, even though the place was half empty. The Caesar salad was drenched in powdered cheese, my filet mignon was gray and tasteless, but the server was extra nice and understanding. The manager was apologetic but did not come across very sincerely. Bottom line is that Sam Snead would take his name off the door if he knew how far this place has fallen.

“Fun Atmosphere, Great Food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

This is a really relaxed, family - friendly restaurant. The shuttle from The Homestead will drive you over. The prices are reasonable. We had the burgers and were very happy!

“Off-site hotel restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2014

The restaurant was decorated nicely, the food was pretty good but the mixed drinks left a lot to be desired. Being a hotel restaurant, the pricing was a bit higher than I would like.

“Sam Snead's Tavern - Never Again!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

It has been close to 10 years since my last visit to Sam Snead's Tavern... Very Disappointed that it has gone down hill so badly. Not at all what I expected. It is not the "Fine" dining experience it used to be.... A comparable would be "Denny's Restaurant". Food was not prepared well...Cold... Sloooowwww Service... Staff was not personable whatsoever... from the Hostess on down. All areas need addressed. From the menu.. to the Chef..Staff etc etc.. I won't be going back unless I know changes have been made..... Sam Snead would rollover in his grave if he knew what a negative turn his establishment has taken..
