“Great food without Homestead price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

On a recent trip to the Homestead Resort my wife and children (ages 5 & 15) were delighted to discover Lindsay's. We had asked the concierge to book us at Sam Snead's Tavern but they were full. I had a local recommend a place and he told us to try Lyndsay's. So glad we did. A short walk from the hotel and we were there. My 15 yr old was hesitant once we got there because it looked small. But we were quickly seated by a friendly hostess. She suggested my daughter try the chicken fried steak and it was a hit. My wife loved the chopped steak with mac n cheese. My son and I both had cheeseburgers. Very good as well.
The staff was overly friendly even though they were getting ready to close. Our waitress "snuck" my son fifty cents so he could play a game in their arcade. They also called us a shuttle from the hotel. The folks at the Homestead do not approve. When we went back for breakfast the next morning the driver told us that he would have to charge us. By the way, the breakfast is equally as good. And it will not break your wallet. Also it is nice to wear "comfortable" clothing. No dress code here!

“Decent food, great prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

After being overwhelmed by the price of everything at homestead, this was a nice break. The food was average, but good enough to go back. The prices and portions were very agreeable. Definitely worth a shot if you want a quick bite with an avenge bar style menu while in Hot Springs

“Good Home Cooking at Reasonable Prices next to the Homestead”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

If you're looking for good home cooking at very reasonable prices, be sure to visit Lindsay's Roost - just down the street from the Homestead's Sam Snead's. Our group of 6 - including 4 teenage boys - ate dinner for less than $60! Our boys loved the burgers, fried tilapia, slaw and hot wings. We had the broiled fish and it was very good. We've eaten here before and have never had a bad meal....If you're looking for fancy pants dining, go somewhere else. But if you're looking for great food, nice people, and good prices, Lindsay's Roost should not be missed.

“Homestyle cooking!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We tried Lindsay's Roost after deciding to "go casual" versus formal while staying at the Homestead. My husband had the trout and I had the pork chops - the special of the day. The waitress was very nice and considerate and the food was simple yet very good. The price was reasonable, the location convenient but nothing fancy, and overall this was good value for the money~

“Great breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Owner LOVES Elvis and we ate breakfast in the Elvis room. Great value, good home cooking. Kids loved the pancakes, grand-dad loved the biscuit and gravy. CASH ONLY, but they do have an ATM in the Elvis room if you forgot.
