An awesome place to spend quality time with friends and family. Also enjoyed the Hotsprings. Very relaxing. Would need more shops though which have affordable prices for tourists. Keep up the good work

We stayed in a garden view King Deluxe with balcony. It was a wonderful room with a great view. I cannot imagine the view during the Autumn foliage. Food was good but limited menus at some restaurants, and distance to restaurants in some cases was far. Amenities including the pools were beautiful and very clean.

We had our wedding at the Homestead and it was amazing. Gail and Rebecca were fabulous and detail savvy when it came to planning our wedding. The rest of the staff was super friendly, helpful and awesome. The Homestead really made us and our guests feel special. Thank you for making our wedding weekend so wonderful and for giving us memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Thank you for choosing The Homestead for such an important occasion! The Homestead has become one of the most popular resorts in the mid-Atlantic to host weddings. We are delighted you were pleased with everything and that you have memories to last a lifetime. We will be sure to share your kind comments with Gail and Rebecca and we know they will be happy you took the time to recognize their efforts to serve you. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for many anniversaries in the years to come!

Just returned from a 2 day stay and I will tell you the best thing about the homestead is not the hotel itself. Although it prices itself like an upscale resort it's best attribute are the surrounding mountains and amenities. The omni folks have taken this resort downscale to appeal to young families and the masses. They will probably make more money this way but I won't return to get that secluded relaxation it offered in its prime. The grounds were top shelf. The hotel itself needs some care.

Thank you for visiting The Homestead and for posting your candid review. The Homestead has undergone major renovations in the past couple of years and we continue to make plans for further restorations to this grand old lady. We hope you will return for a longer stay in the future so you may experience more of what The Homestead is all about.

We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary at the Homestead and it was a great experience. The ambiance, dining, friendliness and service of staff were all first-rate. The Homestead is located in Western Virginia in the mountains. We had delicious dinners in the Main Dining Room and in the Jefferson Grill. Hope to go back next year!

I really enjoyed my stay here. We spent five nights at Homestead. There are plenty of things to do if you want and also great areas to sit around and read or just watch people. The property is very nice. The people are nice. We had a two bedroom suite and it was very comfortable. There are all kinds of different angles to this place. I am sure some rooms are better and different from others. I love sitting on the big front porch. You can just imagine how it was back in the day. The afternoon tea was nice but could be done better. My only complaint that the dining room service or the speed of attention could be faster. The property is beautiful and a very nice experience.

Room was filthy with extreme MOLD in Air vent. Made family feel horrible and sick. Front desk did nothing about this and seemed to not even care. The lazy river addition is a nice add on and the kids game area, Downtime.
