Our party of four decided to try this place after seeing some reviews on yelp and tripadvisor but since they weren't all glowing we weren't sure what we would experience. I'm not sure what the negative of views are about. We came in expecting diner food not a gourmet meal (which, quite frankly, I'm rarely in the mood to spend the money on).
We all decided to share. My daughter and I split the hot turkey open faced sandwich. It came with mashed potatoes, gravy and delicious squash and green beans. Everyone tried a bite and we all agreed it was very good. The other two split a mango chicken wrap with a yogurt sauce. They loved it. It came with fries, which I tried and were delicious. Not the frozen mess you generally get with diner food either. REAL fries, nicely seasoned, a little crunch with the sweetness that comes from real potatoes.
We also split two pieces of cake. The white chocolate raspberry and the chunky chocolate mousse. I liked them both and would order them again but preferred the white chocolate raspberry. It was lighter and the flavors blended very well together. The chocolate one was a layer cake...chocolate brownie, chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache, chocolate icing.... Very sweet and very dense. Sharing it four ways was do-able but not by one person. Would have been too much chocolate for me and I LOVE chocolate.
Service was adequate and prompt.
Our half of the bill was about $21 with tip (splitting the entree and the dessert, no beverages)
Can't wait to go back and try more....especially desserts.
