The arena is great for the occasional rodeo event and concert. The real big event is the annual 4-H Fair in August, where there are special exhibits, food, and rides for the kiddies. There is a small museum here that "showcases" what "life" in Herndon and surroundings once was like. But, this really is no longer a "working farm". It is, at best, a "preserved farm" and should be regarded as such. Definitely worth taking the kids here to show them where the supermarket gets the food you buy.
This place also has a good picnic ground with a shelter that can be reserved.
