“Travel Here almost every week”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2009

This place is a good spot and the people who work there are awesome..
It is a little older than some Springhills, so not brand new.
The rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable..
I stay at this Springhill or the Springhill in Sterling off of 28.. This one is better due to location, but the one in Sterling is much newer, and updated.. So overall. good place to stay... wouldn't live in my room here like I could in Sterling, but then again, I'm there to work, not stay in my room all day. I like the double bed suite because they have 2 tv's.. NOT flat panels, like they are in Sterling.

Stayed for 5 night at the Springhill Suites. The hotel is in excellent shape, the lobby is cozy and could belong in any 4-star hotel in the country.
The room was spacious, everything was clean, no smells whatsoever. The bed was conformtable and had 4 different types of pillows to choose from. The amenities were good and were replenished daily.
The breakfast was simple but tasty and well-stocked:waffles, egg paties (i.e. for an egg-mcmuffin), sausages, cereals, pastries, etc.
The gym had a ful set of treadmills, which was nice. They also have a Hertz onsite, which can come in handy.
Everyone at the front desk was helpful and efficient.
15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from the Restons malls, 20 minutes from Tysons corner, and 40 minutes from DC. Great location.

  • Liked — Good internet, good breakfast, clean and big rooms.
  • Disliked — No restaurant on-site, only local takeout. But, Dunkin Donuts is across the street.

I have stayed at this hotel twice for weekend trips to DC, both times I have had a great experience. The price is the cheapest for the best quality that I have found in the DC area. The staff is very helpful with early check in, I am from NJ so I often try to leave my home early check in and then head to DC so I don’t miss a day of sightseeing. Also after a long day of walking around the city it is nice to return back to the hotel and find so many restaurants within a few miles of the hotel but without the DC price tag. The breakfast area can be crowded in the morning but I just grab my food and head back to my room to eat so I don’t have to be bothered by it. Even though there is normally a crowd its never that bad, I’m just not a morning person.

The rooms are comfortable and much larger than I was expecting. There is a separate place to relax and sleep. The in-room kitchenette is very helpful so that you can keep your snack cold. I love this hotel for my DC trips this place defiantly makes the trip that much more relaxing.

Stayed here 3 nights while visiting Wash DC. Very clean, NO smell of smoke anywhere, clean hallways, elevators, parking lot. Nice pool area. Very nice continental breakfast in the lobby, computer access. Approx 35-35 mins from DC depending on traffic. Would absolutely stay here the next time I visited the area. Excellent value for the money!!

We stayed there during the July 4th weekend, awesome rates! Only $67/night, the front desk staff was wonderful, attentive and polite. The room was clean and we loved the microwave, fridge and sink, helped us with 2 small children. We drove to the Vienna station and took the metro downtown to the musuems and watched the fireworks at the Lincoln Memorial. Breakfast was overcrowded, my husband waited in line for 45 minutes (he got in queue at 9:15 am), and inspite of the fact that it was the 4th of July and so crowded, the staff started cleaning up and removing things at 10 sharp, so most people went hungry, the juice machine dispensed only orange colored water. In the evening, the kids and my husband went to the pool, which was warm and lovely, the jacuzzi was gr8, but the lifeguard there was a very rude young woman. Besides the breakfast and the pool lifeguard, the place deserves 5 stars!

  • Liked — The room, front desk, pool, PRICE
  • Disliked — Overcrowded breakfast room, pool life guard being rude and racist

We turned in Marriott points for a two night stay here while in town visiting family. I thought it to be average. The rooms are nice suites with a small wall that divides the bedroom from the livingroom. The livingroom TV is very close to the bedroom, so we had to angle it in order to watch TV once our children were in bed. I like the convenience of the refrigerator, sink and microwave. The bathroom is divided with the toilet and shower behind the closed door and the sink outside of that. I didn't much care for the cold shower that I had the second day there - no hot water to be found! Also, there was some rust stains in our shower and the bottom was a bit rough for our small children taking a bath. After returning from dinner our first night, I went to close the window blinds and found that the carpet was soaking wet from the A/C. It was late and I had to get the kids to bed, but we told the front desk and they came the next day to soak up some of the water, but you still could not go near that side of the bed/window. Also this was near the area to hang clothes, so that was a little bit of a pain.

We did use the pool which is small, but suits the purpose of a quick dip. There is a life guard on duty which is nice. I didn't care for the location of the pool. After your swim, you have to walk past the check-in and wait for the elevator.

We ate breakfast one morning and there was an assortment of choices, but crowded with everyone trying to make a waffle. I didn't bother to try.

Otherwise, an okay stay, but I would probably try elsewhere next time.

  • Liked — Breakfsat included with room
  • Disliked — Wet floor from the A/C

Great hotel. The rooms were spotless and good sized. Free internet connection is slow (good for casual web browsing). Great breakfast, good variety..\

  • Liked — The beds were very comfortable
  • Disliked — The free, slower wired internet connection.
