“Clean and close to Route 81”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013 via mobile

We've stayed at Sleep Inns several times. This one lived up to our expectations. Was clean, served breakfast. They are in the process of remodeling. When we left, a tractor trailer load of Serta mattresses were being delivered.

This hotel is centrally located just off I81 and overlooks Harrisonburg, VA. The rooms are dated with older looking beds but with new TV’s. The matrices on the beds are adequate but on the hard side. Bathrooms are well laid out with a walk in shower making it easily accessible. It would have been nicer to have more places to lay soap and shampoo and without a toilet cover you will have to watch that your towels don’t slip into the swirly never-regions. A cover would also make it more sanitary in this area. The closet was at the far end of the room making it just a bit out of place but was adequate as well. A free breakfast in the morning consisted of Coffee and juices, waffles, bagels, muffins, pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fruit salad and cereals. The attendant was extremely nice and greeted everyone making it a very pleasant atmosphere. The price we got for our event was very reasonable and worth the cost. I also saw a sign in the lobby saying that they were going to do some additional renovations. This was a great hotel for the price.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the front which gave us a great view of the area.

My husband and I were on our way home from Tennessee and decided to stop for the night around 12 midnight with out dog. Having a pet always makes last minute stops hard. Check in was great, the room was clean and perfect. Breakfast was great. Check out was noon, which was perfect as we were only 3 hours from home and we could sleep in and take our time.
If we come through Harrisonburg again and are in need of a room, we'll definitely stop again.

After spending a horrible night at an Extended Stay America in Memphis, ANYTHING would have been better. I was so pleased when I got into my room at the Sleep Inn in Harrisonburg. Clean room, quiet hotel, well lit outside with a designated area for my dog to do his "business" (also poopy bags and a trash can in that area!). Usually hit the road at 5:30 or 6 a.m., but slept so well, I didn't make it out until 7:30 (that is a huge compliment, I'm an early, early riser!) Staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Will definitely make this my go-to hotel next time I make the trip to/from Texas.

We stop in Harrisonburg twice a year heading north from GA to NY with our pet. Previously stayed at Jamison Inn which is now a Quality Inn so we decided to try the Sleep Inn right next door. The lobby is cold looking and the temperature in the lobby and hallways were cool. The bathroom was not clean and the heater in the room was very noisy. We did not find the bed very comfortable. On the trip south we stayed at a Best Western in Lexington VA which was excellent, so next time in Harrisonburg we will look for a Best Western or another pet friendly hotel.

Having a daughter @ JMU, the proximity to the campus, along with favorable Tripadvisor reviews, our family stayed at the Sleep Inn Harrisonburg weekend of 2/1/13. New carpeting in halls, very clean, breakfast included; reasonable price.

booked a room with 2 double beds. Nice sized room with desk, microwave and small fridge. the breakfast was a little strange. Greasy sausage patties, fixings for waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and tops of bagels. Close to JMU
