Convenient location right off East Market Street, near shopping, restaurants....older furnishings but clean room, everything working - TV, microwave - no coffeemaker. Smoking Rooms available, pets OK. Very nice Hotel Manager.

Room was mostly clean, but was old and looked it. Peeling wallpaper, carpet was worn down and dirty around the edges, holes in the wall, and mold in the bathroom. Stayed in worse places but never more than overnight while passing through. Service was friendly. Overall it was not a place I would come back to.

Econolodge has been a name I have looked for and stayed at for years. This Econlodge is the pits!! My wife and I have stayed @ this place many times in the past 5 years. However, this was our last time stopping there! This place has gone down hill and is a $20 hotel rather than $50 (w/ a coupon or $60 w/ Choice Hotels). We requested a smoking room.The 1st rm had 15 burn marks in the carpet next to the bed, the chair had a broken arm, the a/c washable filter was filthy. 5hrs later it was still 95 in the rm. then I killed a roach- which was the end! The front staff gave us another room which also had a dirty filter but the a/c did work. After 5 more hours the temp came down to 68. No matter what rm you get the celing work looks like a 10 yr old did the work along w/ wall paper pelling from the walls. The tubs have huge chips/ stains in the finishes.This place has guts enough to have a sign up saying" ice is now free"????? The next morning when we asked to speak w/ the owner I got the run around. Well, here is the end of the run around- We will be sleeping in my extended cab truck , or paying a little more for a CLEAN place which is better than taking roaches w/ you. I will be contacting CHOICE HOTELS and tell them to take this place off their list.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we actually looked at two rooms. The first was in the "Annex" which was nothing more than a glorified dungeon. Then we tried another room in the main building. Both rooms were beyond filthy. Bathrooms were horrifying. Beds had hairs in them. The smell in both rooms was awful. Do yourself a favor and keep driving.
