I was surprised by the overall high standards at this Holiday Inn, because of the often negative tone of the reviews here. The staff were friendly and efficient, the location was convenient and the price was right. It's a Holiday Inn in Harrisonburg, not a W in Manhattan and it's absolutely fine. The pool looks great too.

The room was very clean and smell free. Comfortable bed. No hot water! Sunk and shower was Luke warm- border line cold. Probably would not stay here again b/c of that. I pricelined it so I really didn't have a choice..

But out of date now. The staff was great, friendly and very helpful, but I really want a good clean place to sleep with a good bed. The pool looked beautiful, but we had no time for a swim. The rooms are small, even the suites, although they were clean. The beds aren't great and the linens are thin. You'll have to upgrade to the suites, because the pool side of the hotel has an old, moldy and mildewy smell. I got a headache immediately. I usually like the Holiday Inns, but this one has seen better days. It won't see us again.

Nice staff and excellent new room, however some parts of the hallways were in need of refurbishment. This must have been an incredible luxury hotel 15-20 years ago, and it's been recently face-lifted, but only cosmetically. More updates are required.
Loved the breakfast - abundant and very reasonably priced. Front desk service was very helpful and pleasant. Loved my room, large, new and modern, but I may have been lucky - I'm not sure all rooms are similar. Overall I think it was an excellent deal for the price and I'd stay again.
