“Small museum over priced admission”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

I'm not a quilter but my wife is so we made special trip to visit. She wasn't impressed and said the the museum did not contain as many quilts as she though it would. We also though it was over priced.

“much more than expected!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

I thought we (me and my almost 92year-old mother, who, by the way was in a wheelchair for the event) would be there for about an hour, NOT SO!! There was so much to see, each quilt, large and small, was so interesting, with stories about each one! They also had a Civil War era display. In the basement was an amazing display of needlework, each one looking like a tiny quilt! The historic building was gorgeous. Because we had a wheelchair, we could not go to the upper floor, but the staff was so amazing, they brought "the upper floor" to us, by way of photos on computer, taking the time WE wanted/needed to enjoy the show! We will go back!!

“A must, even if you aren't into quilts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

Beautiful historic building, stunning textiles (antique and modern) and charming gift shop. Found the most unexpected, fascinating and touching exhibits about the lives of southern women during the Civil War.

“wonderful civil-war era quilt”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

The Civil-war era quilts were the crown of their collection. I was inspired by a mixture of their humility and unrivaled craftswomanship.
