As my title suggests, I do LOVE this location, but a few things during this Valentine's Day visit left me not as happy.
We opted to stay 14-15 Feb and the hotel was maybe at 50% capacity (if that) and a request for a high floor wasn't granted...ok no worries. We pressed on to our precursor for a wonderful w/end.
The alarm clock in the room, had NO audio capabilities so our MP3, the alarm, the radio would not sound. While in the room, our toilet kept running and soon began to overflow, so we called down to front desk and in TRUE HILTON fashion, a repair man was dispatched to our suite within a few short moments and repaired it. Many of the doors would SLAM shut and at 1130PM, that was a bit annoying as it would rattle our door. This location, needs to invest in some soundproofing or noise reduction foam around the door frames.
In the lounge area, as ALWAYS the wait staff and Clayton our mixologist, and "Speedy" our breakfast chef were stellar! When I am in town I enjoy the "escape" feeling and check-in HERE often! So, needless to say, as we sat in the atrium and noticed a few of the chairs in a tattered state, it saddened me. C'Mon Embassy -HR lets work on keeping THIS place up for your valued guests! Although, it was a few little things experienced during this stay, I will no doubt return again & again...with its direct location to the HR Convention Center & Hpt Colisuem its a no-brainer...combined with plenty of FREE self-parking, a Wal-Mart across the street, a Taco Bell, KFC, Golden Corral, PBR, Target, and Green Turtle a SHORT drive away..not to mention, the hotel shuttle...It is a NICELY placed hotel. Come visit & begin YOUR "escape" today!
