“Amazing food, tired surroundings.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013 via mobile

I recently visited the Boycott arms for lunch with a friend. It was the first time i had visited since the new ownership and the food was outstanding. Not only was it super tasty, the food and the plates were both piping hot! The portions were great too, so big I unfortunately couldn't eat it all!

Service was very attentive, the lady on the day was constantly asking us if we were okay without it being too much.

Aside from the amazing food, the surrounding countryside area is lovely the only thing that really let's the boycott down is its tired decor. The skirting board was broken as were the light fittings and the upholstery was in dire need of replacement, with a bit of a makeover it could be really lovely but apart from that I wouldn't hesitate to return.

“Fantastic! Little Gem of Wolverhampton!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

We went to the Boycott Arms last night for my brothers 30th Birthday. Fabulous food and hospitality and very reasonably price. The atmosphere was very friendly and the landlady and her staff could not do enough for us. Overall a big thumbs up definitely will be returning in the very near future. Little gem of wolverhampton !

“What a welcome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

My Pal had just finished the Tough Guy Challenge and the 5 of us were hungry and getting ready to set off to Essex. We came across this Little Gem. immediately on entry we were greeted with a big smile from the landlady. Now it was late on a Sunday, The huge fire was blazing alluringly and the welcome was as fresh as if the day had just started. She politely and courteously explained that they had had a very busy Sunday and the menu was so short we would find it hard to find any thing on the menu. Upfront and honest, good start! She poured our drinks whilst we looked at the menu and made several visits to the kitchen to find out what was available or if they could accommodate this wish or that. We all opted for Nachos with salsa, gaucomole and sour cream topped with cheese to start. For mains we chose Gammon Steak and for the lady's, vegetarian options of spinach and riccota cannelloni. The food was out standing! The Nachos were fresh and crisp beautifully complementing the cheese and sauces. The Gammon was huge, succulent and juicy and served with real chips. We all said if food can be as good as this at the end of session after a busy Sunday, how good must it be at the start!!! We only wished they had had Sunday roast left but testament to there popularity they were sold out! This is a Pub that will do well! Professional, courteous, friendly, welcoming, you name it, it was all there! Nothing seemed to be to much trouble and when we are in this area again, we will certainly return!

Thankyou for looking after us so well!
