Visiting friends in the area gave me the unique opportunity to dine in Jacque's Brasserie at L'Auberge, a long way from my home in Scotland. Cuisine in the USA can vary dramatically, and I gladly put the Brasserie at the top of my personal list. We dined on the ground floor but the expansive areas on the upper level are I am sure, equally excellent. A simple salad and sliced sirloin with truffle sauce and pommes frites was my choice but most of our party chose seafood, and I'm told that the Bouillabaisse was up to Marseilles standards. The service was impeccable.
