“Beautiful Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

We booked on the package which included being picked up at our hotel , a guided tour of the nature reserve and farm , lunch and use of the sun lounger , kayaks and boogie boards , all for $EC140.

We were picked up at our hotel (the Calabash ) and driven to La Sagesse , when we arrived we were asked what time we wanted to eat and if we wanted Chicken or fish .

The tour was great , we set off quite early which was just as well as it was quite hot , a tip , make sure you are prepared with sunscreen. Jefferson our guide was excellent , he was a typical Grenadian really , friendly with good sense of humour and genuinely insterested in what we thought of Grenada , which of course as this was the end of our tour , we told him we loved the Island. For me this tour showing the way they grew things here was particualry interesting having grown my own vegetables in the UK , I was a bit jealous that here this is a gardeners paradise , sunshine , rain , all year round , rich soil.

It was great walking along and trying waxed apple , soursup , Indian JuJuBe straight from the tree , in the heat as well this was quite refreshing.

After the tour Jefferson sorted out our sunloungers and was on hand if we needed a Kayak or boogie board. We relaxed a bit and had a swim before we were ready for our lunch.

The lunch at the restaurant was lovely , just right for a light lunch , salad and fish , the fish was excellent , with the salad we had a beetroot dressing which was a nice surprise.

La Sagesse beach is in a great location which a lovely beach , and the bay is great for swimming and boogie boarding , we had great fun boogie boarding here for over an hour , even with a few wipe-outs.

We were there from around 10:00am until 3:00pm , I would highly recommend this is a nice day out , in a beautiful location , good food and a great beach to relax on.. For us though the highlight was the boogie boarding it was great fun.

“Great Place to Relax and Enjoy !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

This trip was meant to be for relation and rest. As a 30 room boutique hotel owner in Barrio Amon, San Jose, Costa Rica for the past 23 years, I know the industry. Everything was just great here , from the friendly greeting of the owner, Mike to all of the staff including even the gardener. The food in the restaurant was wonderful with a nice variety every night on the white board. Being called the spice island, the restaurant at La Sagesse lived up to that reputation , using nutmeg and cinnamon in many of their dishes , very tasty. We sport fished one day with Captain Gary on-board Yes Aye and came back with fresh tuna, wahoo, Spanish mackerel and king mackerel, all wonderfully prepared by the staff in sushi appetizers and outstanding plates of different styles. In the morning and at night there are many local expats as well as boaters that come to enjoy a fine meal and it makes for a friendly enjoyable setting , with many times everyone setting at a large table , just eating, drinking and exchanging stories. The beach is very peaceful for swimming and the next bay over , which is a short walk thru the trees at the end of the bay lays a very secluded beach for anyone that wishes to REALLY enjoy nature in a more natural style ! I stayed in a bungalow at the end of the property with the waves lapping almost at the outdoor deck. As clean as it could be and wonderful bedding. I enjoyed several fine cigars here and the view is peaceful . All in all a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful vacation which is what I went for in the first place. Thanks to Mike , his lovely wife and all of the staff at La Sagesse ( by the way this is French for wise ) for an outstanding experience on the Island of Grenada. Thomas in CR

“Favorite place on the island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

Favorite beach on the island, hotel and restaurant on the beach and nothing else. Fairly quiet unless it's a local holiday. Enchanting, wish I was there even today.

“Our third time at La Sagesse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

Two weeks ago was our third visit to La Sagesse and it is still a wonderful place. We take a cab and spend the day there on the beach, eating lunch at the restaurant. Service is friendly and efficient and the food is delicious!

My favourite is the seared tuna with salad and their secret recipe Beetroot Dressing (I will one day figure out the ingredients apart from beets!). Hubby doesn't eat fish but there is always something on the menu he likes!

When we were there two weeks ago it was low season in Grenada and for a while were were the only customers but when we left several others had popped in for a late lunch.

The beach is stunning and the water safe and calm. Their are sunbeds if you want one and for a cold beer the restaurant is just a couple of steps away! There's also an outdoor shower to remove the sand from your feet before taking the cab back to your hotel.

We will always spend at least one day of our annual vacation at La Sagesse.
