Stayed here two times at the end of August 2013. Didn't make our intended overnight stop of Emporia on our way to Myrtle Beach and chose at last minute to stay here. Clerk was kind enough to honor the rate I got in Emporia and after providing my HHonors #, at 2am I was quickly checked in and on my way to my room with my family. Rooms were clean and comfortable with typical Hampton amenities and hotel seemed fairly new. At that point we just wanted the beds and pillows. Breakfast area was not overwhelmingly crowded and well stocked and attended too. As a result of our experience on our way south we immediately booked as our stop over for return trip. Utilized laundry on the 2nd floor to dry some wet swim gear and again another solid stay overall. Utilized the business center to buy Kings Dominion tix and print (they are cheaper that way if you print ahead). This was probably my only pain point with the hotel. Browsers were out of date and had trouble w/ the Kings Dominion site. Had to go to my room to use my laptop to buy and then pdf the tickets and email them to myself to then go downstairs to print them. Kind of annoying but still worth the 50% I saved on each ticket with my coupon code. This hotel is a great choice if travel takes you to Richmond. Convenient to I-95 and I-295, 15 mins from Kings Dominion, and plenty of chain restaurants and choices nearby to eat and shop. Can't be beat for $84 - $100 per night!! Staff is very nice and attentive. As requested they put a pack and play in the room for us for both our stays. Only other note I'd pass to hotel mgmt is an odd one... but someone should check the sprinklers outside. We arrived late at night when they were going and one of the sprinkler heads was broken and just gushing wasted water all over the parking lot.
