I visited this Ledo's with my grandson after a busy morning at the Richmond Children's Museum, right around the corner. I had heard of Ledo's but had never visited. I asked the museum staff for a nearby restaurant in walking distance and they pointed me here. There were several other families with young kids and we were shown to a table. Then the server left. She returned to take drink orders and I then had to ask if they had high chairs. I was with a fifteen month old...not your sit at the table kind of kid. She brought the high chair and then I asked her about the children's menu. They were on separate sheets and the server never considered offering one when we came in. I realize my grandson could have been eating from my plate, but at least ask if we want the kids menu. The menu for kids was quite good, including a choice of box drinks rather than sodas. I ordered the chicken nuggets with broccoli as a side for him and a calzone for myself. The wait for our food was pretty long, so by the time the food came, my grandson had just about finished his juice and was craving the drinks I brought from home. No one offered anything to entertain my grandson while we waited...remember, they get their clientele from the museum! When the food did arrive, it was served on breakable plates...including the kids meal. I asked for something paper or plastic instead but the server said all they had were napkins. So the napkin became my grandson's plate. Again, this is a place right around the corner from a museum. I would think they could have sprung for a paper placemat or something like that instead of breakable dishes. All in all, the food was OK and the convenience or walking to the place made the visit worthwhile, but the lack of customer service was stunning given that this place could be a magnet for young museum visitors.
