“Super find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We booked this hotel as a last minute addition to our family vacation. The price last minute was great and the person who helped me on the phone was really nice. Driving up to the hotel we were really impressed by the physical surroundings. The room was also very nice. There was a very loud family staying on our hall, but there isn't much the hotel can do about that. All in all it was a great last minute find and now that we know about it, we would think about it again if we found ourselves in the area.

Thank you for your "super" review of Wyndham Virginia Crossings. A lot of guests are surprised (just as you were) when they arrive at our gated entrance and see the 20 acres of rolling Virginia landscape. Why stay at a conventional hotel when you can experience a taste of Old Virginia - but with all the modern conveniences today's traveler expects (and great service, too). We're really pleased you discovered our hotel and hope that someday soon you will return. Until then, safe travels.

My wife and I often overnight in the Richmond area on our way to visit our son in VA Beach. I've found I can most often get a great deal on this property through priceline name your own price. The check-in process is fast, the rooms are clean and roomy. I have absolutely no complaints....specially for the price. I'm not sure it is a four star property but it is a great price on a very nice property.

Thank you for becoming a loyal customer of Wyndham Virginia Crossings. We're finding more and more guests are discovering our "hidden gem" - even though it has a very convenient location near all major interstates. It's also a perfect base camp for those wanting to experience all the adventure and history of Central Virginia. We look forward to many more return visits. Until then, safe travels.

As everyone has already mentioned, the hotel and the grounds are beautiful. The room was clean. The pool was supposedly open till 11pm, but we didn't get a chance to use it.

We only disliked two things:
1: the Wi-Fi signal was very weak. Also, maybe I misunderstood, but when you sign up for wifi, the registration page tells you that you can use it for 24 hours. We only stayed for one night, so I'm not sure what happens with the wifi after that, but either way, in 2013 I expected a better internet connection setup than that.
2: Not even a small fridge in the room. I don't know if I'm asking for too much, but we were traveling with our baby and it would have been nice to be able to put the small amount of food we had with us into a fridge.

We did like the hotel, so next time we're in Richmond it's possible we'll stop here again.

Room Tip: Because the hotel is on a hill, some of the rooms on the second floor actually have their windows at...

Thank you for taking time to write us about your stay at Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel. So many guests are struck (as you were) by the beauty of the property. 20 rolling acres of manicured grounds and Williamsburgian-style buildings topped with our 24 carat Liberty Golden Eagle. I've contacted our IT group to have them check the Wi-Fi signal to ensure it's up to specifications. Also, we are in the midst of completing room renovations (a few rooms at a time so as not to disrupt current guests) and at project completion all rooms will be equipped with a refrigerator. We hope that's enough to bring you back the next time you visit Richmond. Thanks again and safe travels.

My family and I have stayed at this property for the second year in a row. The hotel staff is great and very personable. Rooms are clean and many have been refurbished with new carpeting and paint. If you are looking for a place that is not too far off the beaten path of 95, this is a great stop. there is a strip mall not too far, would suggest if something there suits your fancy you stop there first as once you arrive you will not want to venture out. The property is well groomed overlooking a golf course. They have a nice bar and pool and is reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Both times we visited, we had good rooms. If you are worried about noise, the sleeping building is o...

Thank you for your return visit to Wyndham Virginia Crossings. It's wonderful to create loyal customers and your business is very much appreciated. As you mention in your review, our room renovation is almost complete and will feature new carpeting, bedding, lighting and refrigerators. We completed public space renovation last year that included a new restaurant and deck (with fire pit), pergola and putting green and a Walk Across America photo gallery in our underground passageways. Thanks, too, for mentioning our staff. They are "great" and they are "personable" and I will be sure to pass along your compliments. Safe travels until you return to us ... again.
