I enjoyed my weekend stay. The Hotel is nice but it is smelled little musty in the lobby area. The hotel staff was great; the restaurant never seem to open but we were able to recieved room service.
There are public areas that need work but my over all stay was nice. Room 559 I had not compliants about for the price.
If you would like an affordable place to relax for a second, it can be done at the Richmond Marriot West. It is not Luxurious and Fancy it is just a nice Hotel for the money. the Grounds are kept up Nicely. The Bell Staff ..... I was not sure why they were there. Overall, i enjoyed my stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Richmond Marriott West recently while attending a religious convention in Richmond. The location outside the hustle and bustle of Richmond made for a relaxing stay. Still, a wide array of restaurants and shopping was available nearby in Short Pump. Also, we found the room service very convenient for our breakfasts.

This place is nice. The staff was very friendly and personable. The only problem I had was the other guests who insisted on banging on the walls, when there was a little bit of commotion going on. It was the weekend for goodness sake, who sleeps at 9pm?? Good grief.

We weren't very happy with this hotel. It needs a lot of tender loving care. The hall's carpet was dusty in the corners, old TV's with very limited stations, dirty telephones, the elevators made the worst noise, just knew we were going to stop, dinner in the restaurant was best left alone, there was a buffet in the morning, ok, but too expensive for what was there. The sheets on the bed never stayed on. Adventure west to the Short Pump area, lots of new hotels and the price is the same.
