I would give the Twin Oaks cabin at Fiddlers Roost 3 and 1/2 stars if I could. The area was idyllic. The cabins were well placed for privacy. Ours had nice decorations, a very comfortable rustic feel, a two person hot tub out on the deck that was very relaxing. Breakfast was home cooked and delivered right to our door by 10am. Unfortunately, the bed was about as comfortable as a bunch of rocks. I mean, the springs were loudly squeaky, and, while it did not seem too bad when we first fell asleep, neither of us stayed asleep long, tossing and turning all night. Then, in the morning, our backs were in pain. On the 3rd night, one of us slept on the futon couch and the other on the floor. Also, the window unit a/c in the living room was so loud that we had to either shout at each other, or turn it off to talk. Unfortunately, we couldn't leave it off because of the humidity. I wish I could say that it was worth it for the location and ambiance alone. But, for $150.00 per night, I don't think it's too much to expect a comfortable bed and working equipment. I would definitely recommend Fiddlers's Roost, but, maybe not this particula77r cabin. That is assuming that all of them don't have old, worn out beds and dying air conditioners.
