When I found a place on the Internet called "Floyd Virginia" and then went on to read about their Friday Night Jamboree I had no idea what a wonderful time I was in for. Of course, I needed to find a place to stay for my husband and I as well as our friends who would be meeting us for a get-away weekend: enter a magical place named "Bella La Vita Inn". This Tuscan inspired Inn is very clean but even more important is the owners attention to every small detail. Wine glasses left out for late-returning guests, always a home baked snack left on the counter, the freshest ingredients used to craft a gourmet breakfast for your pleasure with special items for those with food allergies, a private gazebo formed of live Wisteria and embellished with soft lights that are always left on for the pleasure of your intimate conversations. Of course there are the usual games, WI FI, interesting gift shop, extras of items you may have forgotten but it is the very positive energy of the Inn that beckons you to linger, relax, and make new friends. We don't usually sleep too well at hotels and B&B's, but Bella La Vita invested in good mattresses as well as linens. In fact, they invested in quality all around: granite countertops, honest wood beams throughout the open living space, a koi pond, abundance of flowers and a shady porch swing. Every corner is a tableau waiting for a memory to be made. The Jamboree...the wineries down the road..in fact all of the town of Floyd is as charming, safe and as friendly as one would hope for, but with Bella La Vita Inn it all becomes a first class destination. Of course we will be back; in all honesty we never wanted to leave. Kudos to Lisal and Matthew: They got it right.
