“Hubby wanted Mexican”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

I was expecting the same as we get everywhere else - I was pleasantly suprised. The flavor was a notch above average mexican food. The cheese dip tasted like it had sour cream in it, so if you don't like our cream, be aware of this.

Service was slow, and they weren't real busy.

“Good home cooking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

Usually the only restaurant open during week, try the chicken. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Full of life on a very quiet street.

“American-Mexican Comfort Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

When staying at Hotel Floyd I had dinner at this Mexican restaurant, located in the basement of a building on Route 8. It seems to be a professionally run place and a popular choice in Floyd. The price is reasonable; the portions are just about right. It is one of those “American-Mexican” comfort-food restaurants, not really authentic but also not bad. Service was efficient and fast, I wish my chicken fajitas would have been a little bit more flavorful and the chicken pieces larger and “identifiable”. Other than that no complains, really. Try it out.

“Good food, great service`”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Very attentive wait staff. Food was above average and reasonable price! Could use a slightly better sign on the street directing you to the entrance!

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013 via mobile

Warning... being from Texas, I know Mexican style food.

After reading the reviews, we thought we were in for at least a nice dinner. The queso fundido was beyond runny. The salsa was ok. Chicken tamale was dry. Beans were ok and i didn't have an issue with the rice. The beef fajitas (ordered medium rare) looked like chicken and tasted like marginal stir fry.
Came with quacamole, but only got maybe a spoonful and it wasn't worth asking for more.

The pictures in trip advisor are misleading. I submitted one of the beef fajitas and will add one of the tamale.

Plenty around us seemed very pleased with their dinner, but as for me, I was left wanting (and a little hungry).

Waitress was nice enough though! :)
