“Nice property for weekend getaway in DC suburbs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We've used this property a couple of times for DC area weekend getaways. It's in a quiet, wooded office park with easy access to shopping, restaurants, the beltway, and three Metro stations. Dunn Loring is the closest Metro stop, but we drive to East Falls Church in order to have our choice of either Silver or Orange Line trains.

We've found the staff to be relatively friendly and accommodating. Our concierge level room this time was quite comfortable. Particularly liked the bathroom with dual vanity, separate shower, and tub. It also had the largest walk-in closet I've experienced in any hotel. It was basically its own separate room, probably eight or nine feet square.

The breakfast buffet is good, especially if included in your rate or due to your elite status. We haven't experienced the concierge lounge, since it is closed on the weekends, but it looked small and not too special.

Would definitely recommend Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park. If you're in the area on a weekend, the rates often fall in the $59-$79 range for the AAA rate. It's quite a bargain.

This hotel is showing its age. The pool and fitness center is old and somewhat depressing. The concierge lounge has few options of which one was some Canadian bacon smothered in some kind of unappetizing brown sauce. The dessert was just brownies adn the scanner/fax did not work. The room setup is odd with the tv to the left of the bed and not in front of it. They have something called "pure" on the floor I stayed on that made the room smell like a hospital room. They do not carry CNBC in the rooms which is extremely unusual and the picture clarity is poor on the channels they do have. Despite all of this the staff was very friendly and helpful when they could be.

Room Tip: High Floors

Thank you very much for your observations. I am happy to tel you that we will be renovating our guest rooms starting soon, and I think you will like the result. We will also be installing new, bigger TVs at that time. Thank you also for the kind words about our staff, and we will certainly share those comments with them. Finally, it looks like the scanner/fax in the concierge lounge is working fine now, so I appreciate your bringing it to our attentions. We look forward to your next visit!

It is indeed a pleasure to write a review for this fabulous hotel. This is my favorite hotel when I travel to D.C. or Northern Virginia. It has the big city feel in a rural environment. Everyone at the hotel go out of their way to ensure that your stay is enjoyable. I would like to mention a couple of individuals by name because they really make my visits memorable. At the receptions is Jonathan, Lavar and Sandy. Of particular note is the excellent meal service provided by the head chef David. I cannot say too much about the excellent service you will receive at this outstanding hotel. I look forward for my upcoming trips back to the hotel in Sep 15.

This is a great property in a convenient location. It is easy to tell that the staff here have been trained well about customer experience.
Rooms are comfortable and the Concierge Lounge is a nice touch.
I comfortably recommend this hotel and you will enjoy the restaurant and lounge as well.

We stayed for one night, we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant, ellipse. It was an great dinner and they had a very affordable dinner special until 8pm. Service was great willing to do anything. We stayed one night but they still took us to the metro station and let us leave the car for they day then they picked us up to leave, all after check out!

Stayed only one night in April 11-12th, 2015. Free parking was great. The lobby is very modern and spacious. On Saturday there were lots of guests of group tour but both check-in and check-out were fast. Room was kind of outdated (but clean) and there was no fridge... no free in-room wifi. Amenities smells Arabic. The pool under the lobby was quite impressive. I didnt eat here so no comment about the food but the restaurant area looks good. I think I will go back.

I could not wait to write a review on this establishment. A family event brought us to Falls Church. Our visit coincided with the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. I watched the associates at this property expertly deal with family, business, tourist and group clientele. Each staff member was easily able to meet the needs of the guest. The room was comfortable, the restaurant was very good. None in our party had to wait more than a few moments for assistance. I strongly recommend this hotel for any travel need.

Room Tip: There are conference rooms on some floors.
