We ended up staying here during the 2013 Inauguration. It was a decent cab ride from Reagan Airport (about 40 dollars). It was also about a 10 dollar cab ride away from the closest metro station. You cannot walk to the metro from this location. If you have business in the area, it's just fine and very clean. The staff was helpful, but didn't seem terribly friendly. It was strictly utilitarian.

I have stayed at the Best Western Falls Church Inn in suburban Virginia a number of times to know it is a real gem, very close to Washington, DC. Its location is very convenient on Route 50, just minutes west of the pressure cooker of DC. The parking lot is conveniently located in front of the inn, no multi-level parking so common in the area. The staff is wonderful and there is a sense of airiness in the hotel from the lobby to the "breakfast room." One thing I hate about mid-range hotels is that the breakfast room is tiny and you wind up with families and groups all vying for the same small area, and in the morning, to be honest it is a tedious way to start the day. People regard these common areas for breakfast as if it were their own kitchens standing in the way tasting their coffee, fixing their muffins etc. Instead of just getting out of the way they stay "in the way". The BW Falls Church Inn is just a super comfortable place to stay.

Older Hotel, but very well maintained, clean rooms, great new beds, flat screen TV, very friendly staff, good location, out far enough to miss DC traffic, but close enough to enjoy all DC has to offer. Close to Metro. Everything my wife and I look for. Staff went out of the way to accommodate our walk-in arrival. Very helpful with directions to places to see in DC, took the time to fully explain to my wife and I who were not familiar with the area how to go places the best way. Highly recommended!!!. We will stay again!
