This hotel had not officially opened yet but I was treated to a quick peek at it last weekend by the general manager. The lobby and restaurant are beautifully decorated. Very calming decor with lots of windows. A garden theme was chosen so you find green plants around which makes it very natural feeling.
The restaurant and bar border the main street and there is outdoor seating along the sidewalk. The lighting chosen is very calming and soothing. The menu looks yummy too. There is a fireplace to sit by off the lobby and other seating tucked away for more privacy and comfort. Infused water is set up just as you walk in to the lobby along with coffee and tea. Great detail and much appreciated!
I was able to see all of the room configurations. They are all nice sized and beautifully decorated, even incorporating the work of local artists for the wall art in the rooms as well as the lobby. It is wonderful to see a brand name hotel supporting the locals!
The bed linens are especially gorgeous. The bathrooms are big and include all the amenities. The pool and exercise room are really nice. The pool is handicapped accessible and has large windows looking to the outside.
The conference room has everything you might need for a business meeting. For weddings and other functions, a special eye was given to making the room arrangements convenient for holding a wedding party before the ceremony and to having an additional food preparation area just off of the main room. Well thought out.
A shuttle bus runs to the nearby Metro ( less than a mile away) making this a great location to stay if you want to head into DC. This residential neighborhood has so many amenities and is a wonderful spot to walk. As a business traveller, I always appreciate a safe, pretty location to walk after a flight or the first thing in the morning. There are at least five yoga studios nearby, with some that include pilates, spinning and cross training. A local gym is right down the street and it a great place to take classes if you have the time.
Since I did not stay here I can't speak to the quality of sleep, but my impression is that the rooms will be quiet. I will definitely put up my out of town guests here!
Just stopped by... it is open! Gorgeous!
