I found hair in my tub and the cable kept going in and out and the lobby was to cold we had to wear our coats when we came down for breakfast
the room had flecks on the floor and had a hair on my pillow before we even got on the bed

On our way south after visits in Baltimore and decided to stay close to 495 on the Viriginia side of DC.

Location is easy to get to but far enough from the massive I-495 to not hear any noise. High rise - 10/12 stories; Surrounded by highrise condo's and apartments + a very large construction hole across the street in the back. Modern furnishings / style lobby and hotel. Large covered entrance with some limited parking in front of the building -- much more in attached garage behind; Huge open lobby and computer area, lots of couches and chairs. Typical new style Courtyard by Marriott.

OK greeting from front desk clerk -- it was a little late -- 8PM on Saturday night. Efficient but not overly friendly. No explanation of the hotel layout -- where are the elevators, where are the luggage carts etc. No explanation of hotel food hours. She did search for a lower level floor -- her first offer was too high for me -- 10th floor.

Room was slightly larger than standard Courtyard room -- maybe 8 feet from bed side to interior wall and about the same from the other queen to the window -- no balonies at this building. Has all the latest in Mariott's colors and furnishings. Beds were good -- firm but not too hard. Only one night stand --- between the 2 beds. Plenty of outlets -- the desk was OK; Wifi was quick and simple. Small refrig but no micro wave in the wall units. No luggage rack in the room but a call to the desk and 2 large ones delivered within 10 minutes. Good lighting but couldn't determine what the wall switch at the entrance controlled - if anything.

Room and bath were both very clean -- no mold -- no dust -- everything as excepted; Very noisy and slow toilet; Has a step in tub -- no stand alone shower. A warning about the step in level difference is posted on the tile wall --- good to pay attention to that; The tub side is high but the tub bottom is also high and not expecting that.

Very quiet -- can't hear room to room or the hallway. No exterior noise even with our room directly over the front covered portico (3 floor)

Didn't try the restuarant; Check out was as expected --- however no bill under the door as Marriott usually does; Had to ask for a bill on leaving -- using Marriott points but they still usually slid one under the door. Good rate available for Saturday @ $79.00 -- I imagine the weekends at this location are very light guest load -- appears to be mainly business use during the week days.

Room Tip: Ask for luggage rack on check in;

Stayed here on business. Accommodated my early check-in request, clean room and public areas, nice options for breakfast/dinner, and I loved the 1-block walk to the Metro. Took it from Reagan right to the hotel, and into the city for meetings there. Great value for a business stay!!

We have stayed at this location several times. It is very clean and conveniently located, right near the metro. There is a washer and dryer for guests to use which is very convenient as well. There are many restaurants close by too.

Room Tip: King rooms are set up differently than a standard room. Your a TV is to the right of the bed, not i...

Thank you for your wonderful review. Inn addition to the restaurants already near us, we are expecting more to open within the next 6 months as well as a new Harris Teeter grocery store right across the street.

I've stayed at this hotel many times and am always satisfied. Rooms are clean and modern and the Bistro seems a cut above most Courtyards.

This hotel is a 3 minute walk from the Dunn Loring Metro (you can see the Metro from the hotel) which is nice but if you need a car there are two zipcar locations as close as the Metro.

We are 2 adults, 45+55 traveling on business with a side of pleasure.

Very easy to get to off 495. Plenty of free secure underground parking. Infact i will say up front a very secure building, with your room key needed to enter building from all directions except the main entrance. Quick check in. all the normal amenities of a courtyard. We were extra impressed with the new huge gorgeous lobby and it seemed everyone felt the same...it was the most active lobby i have ever seen. There is an outside fenced in patio area but no smoking for those who wonder.

The room was typical but i give extra bonus for the impressive shower here. Deep tup with an extra marble seat inside...great pressure and very clean. I always take a bath so i can see the low spot---if they REALLY clean and they did. Nice big vanity and plenty of hooks for towels and robes etc. Awesome big deck with sliding doors which we love BUT no patio furniture--very odd. Bed clean and very comphy, better than most.

Big bonus is, exactly 1 block down is the light rail, super cheap and very easy to use. We made into city center in exactly 30 minutes....so if you wanna see the sites, have a drink and not pay 20-30 bucks for parking and traffic this is the best!

I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is D.C. for business or pleasure and you will save at least $100+ a night (more food and wine for me!)

Room Tip: there is construction across the one street so you can ask not to be facing that way.

Spent a lovely 5 days here. Very convenient location to enjoy the many sights of the area. What made this stay so enjoyable though was the absolutely wonderful staff that were on duty when we were there. They were knowledgeable about local attractions, places to eat, gave good directions, and were pleasant at all times. The room was lovely, well appointed, and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room with a balcony! It was lovely!
