The picture shown is not reflective of this former Pizza Hut. The space is bright with lots of color and interesting chairs, each painted with different Mexican scenes. The wait staff appeared nice, but was not sure about some of the items on the menu (ingredients, etc). The menu iteself is extensive and you order by number, which seemed odd for a menu so big. There is an option of black or refried beans, but the waitress never told us, I just happened to see it on the menu.
The salsa looked to be made inhouse and had nice flavor. The chips were out of a bag, and flavorless if not actually old. The chicken burrito was dry with very little sauce on top. In fact, it had very little anything. The carnitas, a nice find on a menu, were fatty and flavorless. The rice was a but crunchy, having sat in a hot tray in the back (the one you could see the server just building all the premade dishes out onto a plate). Perhaps most people don't need to see that.
Overall it was average, perhaps below average. It was fine, a whole lot of fine.
