We have been to a hot pot place in Tokyo a long time ago. This is our first experience in the US. We arrived on a Sunday in mid Sept. at 8:15pm. The place was packed, even the outside tables were almost full (3 out of 4). However, we were seated within 15 minutes. The tables at the edges have induction burners and the interior tables use canned fuel to heat the pots. I prefer the induction since the heat can be regulated. The waitress came right away and explained the menu. You are limited to 3 of each item which is plenty since 1 order is enough. There are 4-5 choices of broth. We picked the spicy & the herb broth. We were warned that the spicy was "HOT" and she was correct! we started with marinated beef, brisket, fatty beef, scallops, tilapia, scallops, calamari, shrimp, mussels, clams, spinach, mushrooms, corn, turnips, tofu, udon noodles, sprouts, etc. They brought out a pot with our broths within minutes. The pot had 2 compartments. It did not take long for the broth to boil. When the orders came out we were overwhelmed! We did mange to cook everything and eat all within 35-40 minutes and then ordered lamb, beef, shrimps, clams, spinach, mushrooms & turnips! The shrimp is quite large. You get 4 per order. You get lots of meat in each order so start with 1 at a time! Everything is fresh, delicious and piping hot! It was a fun experience! The service was great! The price is $23 per person but it is all U can eat and lots of meat & seafood choices. So be prepared & go there HUNGRY!
