We ate at the East Wind Vietnamese Restaurant in Fairfax last year and have tried several other Vietnamese restaurants since. The problem was that they were not as satisfying. At East Wind my husband tried the Beef Pho soup and I tried the Seafood Stir-Fry after a plate fresh noodle garden rolls. The soup was loaded with rice noodles, garnishes and slices of beef, but it was the broth that made it so good. The Seafood Stir Fry was full of nicely cooked shrimp, scallops and squid along with broccoli, carrots, snowpeas. The freshness of the food makes a big difference. The restaurant was not packed, but for us that was a nice change from the last Vietnamese restaurant where the packed and noisy tables left us feeling rushed. It's definitely a place where we will be returning to try another dish on their menu.
