“part of Great American Chain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

Silverado is part of the Great American Restaurants Chain, very similar to Mikes and Arties and Sweetwater but smaller. They Have very good service all the time and the portions are good. They are in a strip mall but have nice decor. The wait can be really long if you come on the weekend. I like the Beef tips and the burgers. Great desserts. Try it if you are in the area

“Crown Jewel of Annandale”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2011

Silverado, the humble sibling of restaurant giants, Mike's American and Sweetwater Tavern, is a family favorite of ours. If you go to any of the restaurants in the Great American Restaurants conglomerate, you'll leave full, and you'll have been treated well. Silverado, however, is what we call the secret restaurant in that chain. It's tucked into a strip shopping center in Annandale and because of that, you'll rarely have to wait to get a seat. It's a cozy atmosphere and yet, there is an ample supply of large booths and tables - large enough to seat 8 adults comfortably.

My favorite start here is the complimentary fresh tortilla chips and smoky tomato salsa. Our son always orders the rack of ribs which comes with tender, crispy shoestring fries. Really, anything you order will be amazing. Save room for dessert because their flourless chocolate waffle or apple crisp is something you won't want to pass up. Daily specials don't disappoint and their special summertime guacamole is to die for. One surprise dessert I discovered is their banana pudding. Now that's not something I would normally choose, but this pudding is heavenly. It's light, not too sweet and comes with sugary vanilla cookie crumbs sprinkled around it. The chocolate and caramel drizzles are a perfect touch for this! Yum!

The prices are VERY reasonable for the amount and quality of the food you'll get. Well worth it.

I don't want to forget to mention that the service at Silverados is one of the reasons we pick it as a go-to restaurant. A team of servers is constantly removing empty plates, refilling drinks, and bringing more bread or chips but not in an intrusive way. We always leave feeling taken care of.

Can you tell we love this place? Check out Silverados. You WON'T be disappointed!
