Chairs squeaking on floors above and a lumpy sofa bed are the main problem for this well located property. Service was great. Breakfast was outstanding. And the too small single bathroom sink was only a little difficult for two
people. Pricey but nice.

Greetings Markchat,
We greatly appreciate you taking the time to complete a review of our hotel. I’m so glad you had a great experience with our staff and got a chance to enjoy our delicious breakfast! Since our hotel is new it does have a pumped concrete construction which does offer a great soundproof option over other local hotels. Next time you are in the area give us a call and will be sure to place you in a top floor room! Thank you again for your kind words!
Best Regards,
Residence Inn Fairfax City Manager

This is the third time we have stayed here over the past 3 years. The staff are exceptional, rooms are clean and comfortable, and all the common areas are maintained to the highest standard. Most of the staff are the original crew. Their exceptional service is a reflection of the great management here. We will be back again.

Great place to stay. Nice rooms, very clean and well taken care of. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with lots of great choices. Even the coffee was good and that doesn't happen very often at hotel breakfasts. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay a few extra days. The hotel was sold out but they managed to extend our room anyway and we even got to stay in the same room. I would stay here again and I recommend this place as one of the best hotels in the area.

We had a nice weekend at a wedding in Fairfax, VA. We had a bunch of rooms blocked off at this hotel. It was nice. It is very big and regular type hotel rooms, as opposed to other Residence I have stayed in that are larger or more townhouse/apt style. The rooms have kitchens, living room, large desk area, bed and large bathroom. It all went okay, we, as a group, felt that they were lacking in some of their detail orientation.

Of course their breakfast is great, rooms are nice and location was good for us. Personally I felt claustrophobic in the room...I wanted fresh air, it was very chemical smelling in the room and I had a horrible headache from it. I opened the window...the two inches that I could...to try and get in some air. It was a nice stay, I just felt that I needed air the whole time I was in the room. I guess with all their building materials in there it can effect those of us who are sensitive.

Dear Wanderingk9s,

Thank you very much for taking the time to let us know about your experience. We are glad to hear that the wedding went well and the weekend was a success! Next time you are in the area feel free to give us a call in advance, we do offer rooms that are hypo-allergenic and would be happy to work with any special requests you might have. Again, thank you for the kind words!

The head manager was outgoing and personable. Fairfax is a quaint and historic city with plenty of shops and eateries. The staff was great. We especially liked the breakfast staff, who were always helpful. Breakfast was much better than most places we stay in the US and usually held us until dinner.

This hotel is superb. We are not world travelers, but budget travelers on our first trip to DC. I used some Marriott points to get this hotel and it was by far the best hotel we stayed in on our trip. The breakfast was delicious each day - fresh eggs (not instant), meats, fruits, etc. The hotel appears to be very new, the employees were very helpful. A great stay for our family of 4 with 2 teens. Highly recommend this hotel!

Dear BBoyDTF,

We are so glad to hear you and your family had a great trip to our Nation’s Capital! The Washington D.C. Metro Area is rich with history, patriotic culture, and delicious food. We hope your family has fond memories of this trip and our hotel for years to come. Thanks for making us part of the experience!

Stayed here for 2 nights, and really was impressed with this hotel, especially given the low price. For $89 a night, you're just not going to do any better than this, in any city. It's a fairly new hotel, so everything is still very clean and neat. The lobby is nice, and the breakfast area is probably the most comfortable breakfast area I've seen in any hotel. There were a lot of people around, but it never felt crowded. The room was spotless, and a decent size. Really liked having a separate seating/couch area and full kitchen. The bed was comfortable, the wifi signal was strong, and I really liked having a large glass enclosed shower in lieu of the standard tub. This hotel was perfectly located for our needs, roughly equal distance from Washington DC, Jiffy Lube Live (concert venue), and Dulles Airport, all of which were less than half an hour away. Hotel staff were very friendly during check-in and check-out. I really have nothing negative to say about this hotel, except for maybe the patterned concrete that you have to roll your luggage over when going to/from your vehicle in the parking lot, but that's really the only thing I would change. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in the area, without hesitation.

Dear TravelinDaveHead,

Thank you for letting us know about your great experience! We hope you had a great time at your concert at Jiffy Lube Live, and got to enjoy some of the fun our city has to offer. Keep an eye out for great concerts at the Patriot Center and Wolf Trap too! We heard Bastille has a concert coming up in October.

Thank you again!
