We've been here half a dozen times and its always good. Live musicians are a great addition to the great food. The diners sing and clap along at times. Even teens have a good time with the Irish music. The stout burger is a fav, as is the beef stew. Don't forget the Irish creme creme brûlée and the nutty Irishman coffee.

Whenever I can, I go to Auld Shebeen for shepards pie and a Guinness. The owner is usually at the front to greet you and you feel special wherever you sit. The live Irish bands are a treat each weekend.

Right on the corner in the City of Fairfax, Auld Shabeen does a good job of meeting Americans most of the way towards and Irish pub. It's larger than most pubs and it has several traditional Irish favorites on the menu that are prepared reasonably well. The beverage selection is good and the staff are very attentive and friendly. They make a point to have live Music in pretty regularly. They are generally good but it can be a little loud if you also want to chat with your friends.

We have been friends of the Shebeen since it opened 6 or 7 years ago. The managers and staff go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience every time. All menu items are excellent and the food is reasonable priced. Good choices of draft beers including Guinness, Harp, and Smithwick's. Great Irish music on Friday and Saturday nights.
