“BAD BAD LOCATION”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2012

This restaurant would be so much better if it were in a better location! It sits in what use to be the best location in Emporia, but now is a dead area. The building is old, bad lighting...its just scary going into it. The food isnt bad...its Pizza Hut...but they really REALLY need to relocate

The service is terrible. They are very slow. We have attempted to dine in and take out approximately 10 times in the past 2 years....finally we just gave up on this Pizza Hut

“Poor Service and Unprofessional Management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2005

My co-worker went to the restaurant on Monday, July 25, 2005 and dined in. We selected the buffet for lunch and needless to say, we encountered numerous problems.

1. We had to wait at least 20 minutes before a 2 pizzas were placed on the buffet.

2. After the pizza was placed on the buffet, a group of young people at another table proceeded to stack their plates with numerous slices of pizza. One young man topped his plate with 6 seperate slices and management watched with no concern while at least 3 of us in the restaurant returned to our seats with no pizza.

3. After 10 more minutes one more pizza was placed on the buffet and this same group of people made a mad dash for the buffet cleaning it out again with the exception of only 4 slices. Completely diqusted by what as happening, one other lady in the restaurant finally picked up her purse to leave. When she approached the cashier, she refused to pay for the buffet and exclaimed that she never had a chance to eat anything and she was not paying for what she never received. She was allowed to leave without paying.

4. My co-worker and I ate the 4 slices that were left. By this we were 40 minutes into the meal and had to return to work. The asst. manager made us pay for the entire buffet even though we only consumed 2 slices of pizza a piece. (individual meals were $6.58 a piece which included the buffet and a drink). We would have gotten a better deal if we had ordered the personal pan pizza.

5. Furthermore, we watched as several employees took money from diners and placed it in the cash register and then return to the preparation area to prepare and cook pizza without washing their hands or wearing gloves.

6. The asst. manager stopped us on the way out of the door after we paid for this meal and asked for our names so that we could get a free buffet at a later time and we told him no thank you. I do not ever expect to eat in that restaurant again. He really should have just given us our money back out of good faith. We ended up paying a total of $13.16 for 4 small slices of pizza and 2 drinks.
