This museum has many interesting exhibits, but there are few "hands-on" activities and it is very difficult (and very costly) to get to unless you have a car. We ended up spending over $100 getting there and back from Washington DC. We were also extremely disappointed that the only place to eat for miles around was Mc Donalds! However, seeing the space shuttle and many other terrific planes did compensate for the other challenges. Our eight year old companion however, definitely preferred the other Smithsonian Air and Space Museum on the Mall.
