When I have business west of DC or fly into Dulles, this is my hotel. Close to airport and rental cars location. They started a nice welcome email 24 hours before your stay. Mobile check in was fast. Front desk bought me a Starbucks coffee for Xmas. They were having a holiday greeting event and invited me in instead of conirger room (I'm Platuim). It was a full course thanksgiving meal - very nice. Breakfast in CR is great also - cut potatoes, bacon, eggs and all the rest. I always stay here when in area and recommend it. They have a airport shuttle - you can not walk to airport.

Flew into Dulles Airport to attend a party hosted by the Marriott Dulles Airport - the shuttle was . Comfortable bed, large bowed shower rod made the shower spacious. Buffet dinner was delicious - beef tips were tender, salad very fresh. Breakfast omelette was enormous, and service was excellent.

Green Features: Green - towels and linens only washed when needed.

The hotel is very nice and comfortable. Convenient for business in the area.

Now the bad. I am a 4 year running Marriott Platinum member. Never in my life have I stayed at a hotel that has a "disco light" control box on the back of the flat screen tv. Most boxes or controls are never visible with a cable directly connected to the tv. This cable control box is always on with a blinking red LED, green LED, and white LED. The whole thing reflects off the back of the wall and lights up the room. Needless to say I did not sleep at all.

I decided to say something when I checked out. We never heard of this before, But we'll check it out. In the meantime the manager said I will put points on your account for the inconvenience. Of course, I have never seen them.

Just because of the lights visible in the room I probably would not recommend this property.

Please accept our sincerest apologies that you did not sleep well while in our otherwise "nice and comfortable" hotel. We have honestly never received a complaint of this type; however, we will have maintenance review the issue and try to determine why this is occurring. It may be something specific to the individual room that you were located in and therefore we will need to check our records to see if we can determine the room number based on this feedback.

If you have still not received your points, please contact our hotel and ask to speak to our Front Desk Manager about this so that we can rectify it immediately as we want to ensure that you have a positive impression of our hotel and do apologize again for this issue.

We recently stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions in order to avoid DC traffic problems due to the timing of our flights. One stay was OK and we have no complaints. The parking arrangements and airport van were a real plus. The other stay was a problem at check in. We had paid for a concierge level room and requested a room near the lounge. We were placed quite a distance from the lounge and it did not appear that the room was a concierge room. We also had difficulty accessing the lounge. I went to the front desk and were told that there was no record on our reservation that we had concierge access. I told them that I had a confirmation in my luggage (which I normally carry in my pocket when I check in but had not on this occasion). I had to go through my luggage and take the confirmation to the front desk to prove that I had paid for the lounge level. This was a considerable unnecessary waste of time! Had it not been for this unfortunate experience the hotel would have received a "4" rating.

We thank you for choosing our hotel to stay at to make your travel time to the airport less stressful. We are pleased to know on your first stay that all went well and no complaints. We do apologize for the issues the second time when you were checking-in and the mix-up with your reservations. Most of all we are sorry you had to go thru your luggage in the lobby to retrieve your payment copy. We have taken note of this experience and will speak with the front desk staff members to inquire where the confusion resulted from and to insure this does not happen again with future guests.
We do hope when you are flying next time, we can welcome you back.

We had an overnight stop between a flight from Scandinavia and a flight to Tampa. In this hotel we found very comfortable beds and there was no noise from airport, We also appreciate the free convenient shuttle to and from airport terminal every 15 min. The trip takes only 5min.
Unfortunately the service and the food in the lounge was not worth the money.

Spent 1 night here while transferring from overseas. Well kept up old marriott hotel. Not surprising since it was built in the 1960's. Bathroom very small. Lounge was decent and open all the time. Really appreciated very early check-in. Would stay again if overnight layover needed.

We had a short stay at the airport Marriott with a seven hour layover in IAD. Arriving at 1:15am with an 8:30am flight we thought about staying in the airport to avoid security lines. Turns out the Marriott was a great decision and with the quick shuttle ride it's not a big deal to get in and out of the airport.
On arrival we had a very good check-in experience and were offered free drinks from the store and wifi. We had a nice room on the first floor overlooking the lake. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Four hours of sleep was great and with the quick shuttle we probably could have pushed it to 4 1/2 and still easily been back for the flight. Others who stayed in the airport mentioned it was a terrible idea and they basically didn't sleep at all.

This was a quick in and out stay, but for an airport hotel they did everything expected and more.
