“Friendly Service and Great Pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

Blue Blaze Cafe's pizza dough is terrific and the waiter gave us excellent suggestions for both pizza and beer. The roasted garlic white pizza with spinach is worth the trip. Apparently they have the best Philly beef steaks around, according to the waiter and the other reviews here.

Dear Aunt Ed, Glad you enjoyed the crust...an old family recipe. My Great Grandmother used to make about 25 Pizza's every Friday in her basement kitchen for her grown kids and the neighbors to pick up from their way home from working in the mines. Mangia!

“worth the stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

service- A+
food- A++

laid back environment, beer, and awesome food what more could you ask for
our go to: onion rings, they are thin, crunchy and lightly battered, delicious, also good with their homemade ranch
also the house salad, yes it's 7 dollars and that scares people but let me tell you its HUGE, enough for at least three people to share.
pizza= pineapple and cheese= on point
(pizza sauce is a little different, reminds me of a marinara, but it's still really good)
great place for a simple lunch, nice dinner, or just a stop in for a beer
go for it

Dear Neak O, Glad that you enjoyed your BlueBlaze experience and really glad that you noticed the sauce...not typical American but more typical of northern Italy.

“Excellent Philly Cheesteaks, Wings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

We lived in Eastern Pennsylvania for 5 years and were very skeptical when the chef told us that he made such good cheesesteaks that they had earned the nickname "Little Philadelphia." Well, I would have to agree (although Damascus, Va and Philadelphia, PA have absolutely nothing else in common). Wings didn't look they were going to taste good but they were really exceptional. I didn't eat pizza but I saw our neighbors order it and I think we made the right move with the cheesesteaks.

Service was a bit slow but very friendly. Draught beer in plastic cups. Definitely worth a visit if you like high quality pub food.
