“Terrific small town venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

This renovated movie theater proved to be a great venue for live entertainment like Second City. The owners and managers of the theater have made a great effort to create a comfortable space for enjoying live performances.

“very nicely refurbished theatre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

they took a ramshackle deteriorating downtown structure and brought it back to the original grandeur.it is now functional and esthetically pleasing and the acoustics are fairly decent... worth going to the programs being offered that suit your fancy

“A Classy Performing Venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

In May of 2013, the State Theater started to provide quality programming for the Town of Culpeper. From stand-up comedians to symphony performances, the State Theater is offering a wide variety of talent.

Prices are reasonable and Culpeper has many good restaurants, shopping, and lodging to appeal to those who want to visit from a distance.

“State Theatre, Culpeper, Virginia”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

My wife and I had the opportunity to visit the newly renovated and 75th Grand Reopening of the State Theatre in Culpeper...this 560 seat venue was a huge undertaking by some dedicated folks in Culpeper and they should be commended for their efforts and the results...we did get to see BeauSolei avec Michael Doucet and he and his group put on a grand performance which was enhanced by Michael's narrative throughout the performance. If you happen to be planning a trip to Central Virginia check out their website and other websites of newly renovated venues...you won't be disappointed.... www.culpepertheatre.org
