“Absolutely The Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2010

We love this Inn and Tavern. It is located in a small, friendly town on a huge lake. The food is the best ever! We consider ourselves Restaurant customer professionals - having eaten out more than we have cooked at home over the past 34 years of married life. By far, through all of our travels, Cooper's far exceeds others in taste, price, comfort and service! They are the standards for others to follow.

My husband and I went to this B&B for an anniversary celebration expecting a charming inn in a small town. I had visited the web site and selected a room, which we were booked in when I called. I was aware that the Inn served dinner and also had entertainment, a guitar player on Friday nights. Quaint and relaxing, I thought. My problem with this stay was that I was not told when I reserved the room that it was directly above the patio where the entertainment would be, that the entertainment would go on until 11 at night ,and that there would be a rehearsal dinner on the property that night. Even without all of that this place is obviously the only "nice" place for miles around and it was loud, crowded and very busy. I could have handled all of that but the music did not stop at 11. Apparently the wedding party wanted to engage in some karaoke with the singer! We had to call the manager and then go out of our room to confront the manager before it stopped, at almost 11:30. This place is definitely more "Tavern" than "Inn". That may be some people's cup of tea but I think we should have been warned and offered a quieter room when we made the reservation. I can't comment on the food, it may be really great. We did not eat at the restaurant that night and left before breakfast the next morning. We did not want to take a chance with the wedding party returning to the patio the next night and partying all night. Luckily we live within 2 hours but at almost $200 a night you should be able to go to bed at a reasonable hour.
