“Pet friendly and pretty nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

We were in need of a pet friendly, clean, and convenient room. That is what we got. Everything was as it should be. Unfortunately it was the weekend of Radford's graduation, so I think they hiked the rates. Still it was the best option in the area. We tried to stay at the Days Inn across the street and had to leave because it was so nasty. The cleaning staff is a little loud if you are looking to sleep in. We weren't, but it made the dog bark. Oh well. Glad we found a decent room.

Recently stayed here in April and the staff was good for the most part. The older lady working the breakfast bar was not a very pleasant departure from the hotel. Also we booked a non-smoking room and it smelled of smoke. After talking to the front desk a smoking room backed our room so they said that was the problem. The women at the desk in the morning was not super pleasant either but the young guy working when we checked in at 5pm was awesome!!!! Will not stay here again.....

We have stayed at this hotel countless times while visiting my sister at Virginia Tech and they have all been excellent stays without anything going wrong. The front desk people are always friendly, cleaning staff is always on top of everything they do, always cleaning, very friendly. Beds are nice, clean, and comfy without any stains or anything. They have all kinds of amenities like fridge, microwave, and coffee maker I'm pretty sure. And my personal favorite is their huge, diverse, endless, all you can eat, free continental breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Christiansburg, Blacksburg, Virginia Tech, or anywhere around that area.

Room Tip: If you are disabled, you will want a room on the first floor (no elevators). If you are up early eno...

This is a great little place. Very clean and affordable. The staff was very friendly. The sales manager, Ryan, seemed eager to ensure a good experience. Rooms were stocked with everything you might need for a night or longer. Microwave. Fridge. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Don't forget to grab some free breakfast.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was good sized and clean. The beds are extremely firm. I have booked this hotel again for two more stays. Great location. The hotel is located directly behind the Cracker Barrel off of I-81.

Friendly check in/out staff, super nice breakfast matron, clean room w/ large flat screen tv, whirlpool tub in standard double room. Breakfast was more than expected: biscuits, gravy, waffles, assorted fruit, assorted pastries, large assortment of individually wrapped bowls of Kellogg's cereals, good coffee, hard boiled eggs. As for dining area, there was a large open room w/ several tables (2 chairs each) and a couch w/ matching chairs in front of a large tv; there is also a smaller room w/ a couple of long tables and enough seating for 6 @ each table. The only issue that needs addressing at this hotel would be the slick walkways and stairways. It was raining the night we arrived, but even the next day after everything was dry, I almost slipped on the stairs. Just walking straight ahead, the walkways were slick that next day, too. Clean hotel, good location w/ several restaurants in walking distance, great location.

We booked this room through Orbitz. We were going to visit my daughter for parents weekend at Tech. We couldn't find any other room. After arriving we were disgusted by the smell and sprayed the entire room with Febreeze. I pulled the mattress up because I wanted to see if there were any traces of bed bugs and was disgusted by what I found. They actually had a banner outside that said Gold Award. I would love to know who gave them this award. I stayed here once before and it wasn't this bad. I had booked the room for 2 nights but needless to say I cancelled and went to the Hilton Garden Inn which was like a palace compared to this place.
