We stayed at Watson House through Labor Day Weekend. My wife looked on-line late and we were worried that we wouldn't find a nice place. Fortunately Watson House was available - and we were not disappointed. This is a great B&B!
The experience was a quintessentially idyllic B&B experience. The House is a beautiful, charming Victorian gem from a better, slower time. It is updated with modern amenities, down to wonderful soap for en suite bathrooms, hairdryers for the ladies and wifi. The rooms vary in size. Our was nicely decorated, with a beautiful antique oak bed. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable and we slept like babies.
What makes this B&B special is the warm hospitality of Bob and Carol. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast featured fruit, coffee/tea, yogurt and fantastic baked biscuits and different breads with yummy jams. Bob was exceptionally helpful and friendly in pointing out all the local history, sights and even offered us a beach pass. We made use of Bob's beach chairs and towels on our daily trips to the beach. As we departed (wistfully) - Bob insisted on washing the salt and sand off of our car with his garden house.
Clearly Bob and Carol have carefully considered how to run a wonderfully welcoming and restful B&B - and have succeeded.
When we come back to Chincoteague we will stay here again.
