This review is long overdue! Sorry Bob and Carolyn. My husband and I stayed at the Inn back in January for 3 nights for our anniversary. We dropped the kids off in Richmond and drove out to the Inn and that's when we began one of the nicest weekends we've had in a loooonnng time! We were greeted with a glass of wine, a warm fire and a cute button nose. Rudy, the sweet mascot that looks like Toto. The Inn is beautiful, cozy, warm, inviting and relaxing. More than the comforts of home! We went up to our room, the Blue Room, and collapsed on the puffy white linen bed. The room was so quaint, felt like we stepped back in time until you opened the closet to find soft, luxurious white robes. Every morning we woke to gourmet breakfasts, great soft music (always playing) and good cups of coffee by the living room fire. Bob and Carolyn are so sweet and generous. Loved talking with them while we took over their living room. It was a tough decision to stay in the Inn all day or go see all the great places in Charlottesville. Jefferson's Monticello is a must. Fascinating man. At last our trip was over, and we had to go back to reality, but my husband and I have not stopped talking about our whole experience. I would highly recommend the Inn at Monticello!!!!
